We are bits is a multidisciplinary project involving virtual reality (VR), contemporary dance, and physics. It consists of an immersive experience that invites the public to think about a mechanistic interpretation of Life. The project combines technology (VR), art (dance and digital art) and science (physics) to create a piece that is simultaneously an artistic experimentation and an innovative outreach scientific project.
The project involves the creation of an original contemporary dance piece that will be later transformed into a VR experience. Both the choreography and the VR experience designs will be based on scientific concepts, making the result artistically sound and scientifically accurate.
Our team is composed by Thalamus Studio (VR technology), Daniel Cavalcanti (PhD in physics and director of Bitflow design studio), and Helena Macruz (dance movement artist).
